First off, Michter’s Rye is my top choice rye whiskey. This is the rye whiskey that I compare all others to. The nose has a sharp spice to it, with a nice oak that hangs around. Following that is some sweetness that draws you in. The taste has the perfect amount of spice to it that I believe all rye whiskey should have. This is finished with a nice balance of sweetness and heat.
